Pinterest

The wind starts blowing. The British sky changes its colour very quickly. The clouds get closer and closer. On the Isle of Wight the weather is always changeable and you’d better keep a raincoat ready by your side

A good advice for every season: Isle of Wight Rock Festival (june) too!

It was originally held from 1968 to 1970. The event was revived in 2002 at Seaclose Park, a recreation ground on the outskirts of Newport. It has been held annually since that year, progressively expanding.

The event was notable for the appearance of Jefferson Airplane, Who, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Doors o Joni Mitchell but more other famous artists have played here!

It gives me a strange feeling, thinking about it

The Isle of Wight Festival is a music festival which takes place every year on june (from 2002), in this period you can find a milder weather but not ever. In 2012 rained a lot and mud caused travel chaos

It’s very easy to meet a rock star or celebrity there but, more easy… bump into  high-colored style. Is a tradition, for this Festival, that guys dress up or  cross dress.

If you are italian… don’t take inspiration from the english style or  street style you found in a fashion magazine: in England people aren’t chilly as italian!

They could wear a t-shirt even if windy and cold…

So… if you don’t want to risk… no white tulle hippy-style skirts! The ground is muddy and the powder will ‘eat’ your skirt in a twinkle. It’s a rock festival, guys!

Did you left your jacket in hotel? it’s raining but you don’t have your Hunter boots with you: dont’t worry! At the entrance different shops are waiting for you: a lovely view for vintagists and fashion addicts.

I saw tattoos makers and leather’s shop too! But i suggest you a visit to OXFARM’S shop, it’s very cheap and you can buy for only 10£ disposable hunter boots.

Long walk from the stage you’ll find H&M Lounge, a great place to relax, chill out, soak up the festival atmospheres and girls can also pamper themselves with a festival manicure. H&M lounge wristbands will be distributed throughout the festival each day! It’s really incredible this Festival: it isn’t only a rock event… but a huge luna park!

Good Fun but don’t miss a raincoat!
